Vito and Sarah perform a magical Vienesse Waltz to Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter in Movie Week, a beautiful tribute to the late Maggie Smith. Craig “loved it” and Motsi called it “haunting and brilliant”. They received their first 9 on their Strictly journey. The first of many we’re sure.
In 2022 Vito partnered Singer and Hits Radio Presenter Fleur East all the way to the Strictly Grand Final, narrowly missing out on the title to Hamza & Jowita.
On joining the hit BBC show, Vito said: “I am really excited to become part of this family. I cannot wait to start this new adventure and to challenge myself. Strictly sto arrivando! (or: Strictly I am coming!).”
In 2021 Vito left the competition world as one of its highest ranking athletes to explore on screen opportunities, most recently competing in and winning Ballando con le Stelle, the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing.
Vito only joined the Italian version of the programme in 2021 but went on to win the series in his first year with Italian singer Arista.

Comedian and actress Sarah Hadland is stepping into the ballroom with the dashing Vito Coppola. Sarah’s comedic timing and natural grace will be in perfect harmony with Vito’s suave choreography. Together, they could surprise audiences with their versatility and chemistry on the dance floor.
Sarah is best known for her role as Stevie Sutton in the BBC sitcom Miranda from 2009 to 2015, as well as Trish in The Job Lot from 2013 to 2015.
Her other acting roles in both TV and film include Horrible Histories, James Bond: Quantum of Solace and in Leap Year.

Vito and Ellie are suffering with Insomnia after their amazing score of 37 in week 5. Craig commented that Vito excelled in his choreography and said that their partnership is “on fire”, perfect from their passionate Paso Doble.
Vito and Ellie topped the Halloween scoreboard with their spectacular Salsa. Their disco inspired Salsa to Murder on the Dancefloor earned them “Dance Of The Night” status from Motsi and Shirley commented “what a way to end the show”!
Vito and Ellie topped the leaderboard in week 7 with their fantastic American Smooth. It certainly wasn’t a Kick in the Head as they scored a fabulous 9,10,10,10, Shirley comments “you’re the Rolls Royce, finalist material!”
Ellie and Vito topped the leader board in week 10 with their fiery Paso Doble to Bills, Bills, Bills. Although the judges felt it lacked a bit of intensity the overall agreement was that it was amazing – scoring 9,10,10, 9.
Ellie was Belle of the Ballroom in musicals week. Impressing the judges with their Quickstep, they scored a fabulous 36 – not a Beast in sight! Beautiful storytelling, light and elegant were just some of the comments from the judges.
In the semi-final Ellie & Vito’s Cha Cha Cha was a fun and fabulous Mambo Italiano treat. Their Couple’s Choice to a Dua Lipa medley showed another side of Ellie as they bring a commercial vibe, reminiscent of a pop video, to the floor. Congratulations, we’re looking forward to seeing them in the final next week.
Huge congratulations to Vito and Ellie. The competition was tight in the final but it was Vito and Ellie who lifted the Glitterball Trophy. Their judges pick was their Paso Doble from week 5, delivered with even more power and passion than first time round. Their show dance was a Latino number with a mixture of dance styles and lots of risks! Finally Vito and Ellie performed their American Smooth – it certainly wasn’t a Kick in the Head as they scored their first perfect score of the competition. Worthy winners, it has been a fabulous journey and we have enjoyed every minute.

In the 2022 Strictly Grand Final, Vito and Fleur got us Hot, Hot, Hot with their Samba. Craig was furious that he couldn’t find anything wrong and gets out his 10 paddle!
Vito and Ellie open the 2024 series reminding us why they lifted the Glitterball last year with a reprise of their fiery Paso Doble on opening night. Can Vito do it again with new partner Sarah Hadland?
