Together Vincent & Flavia have become household names after their impeccable performances of the breathtaking Argentine Tango – they truly are firm favourites with the public.

Vincent and Flavia have attended many of Donahey’s previous dance weekends, here’s what they think…

‘It’s nice to do these shows when they are so well organised by Donahey’s’ Vincent Simone
‘It’s always wonderful to come back to Dukinfield Town Hall where we always receive such a warm reception’ Flavia Cacace
Flavia was thrilled to be crowned the 2012 Strictly Come Dancing Champion with Olympic Gymnast Louis Smith.
Flavia began her dance training at an exceptional dance school in Guildford at the age of five; Hurleys Dance School, which specialised in ballroom and Latin, and it was there she developed her love for these dances. On the advice of her teachers, Flavia went into competitive dancing at fourteen and met Vincent with whom she has worked with ever since.
The couple met by coincidence when they were teenagers and were both looking for new partners to compete with.
Along with Vincent, Flavia also joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2006 and has come very close to lifting trophy with Eastenders star, Matt D’Angelo, just missing out to Matthew Cutler and Alesha Dixon. She has also partnered Jimmy Tarbuck, Phil Daniels, Craig Kelly, Jimi Mistry and everyone’s favourite Astrologer; Russell Grant. Flavia’s winning partner for 2012 was Olympic Gymnast Louis Smith.
Flavia is married to husband Jimi Mistry and together they have made the move to live on a farm in South Devon. You can follow their Instagram page for all the inside info; https://www.instagram.com/ourlifeatthebarn/?hl=en

“After an incredible and unforgettable 2012 on Strictly Come Dancing for both Vincent and I, we have decided we won’t be partnering a celebrity on this year’s show.
However we look forward to continuing to perform on our favourite show and remain a part of the family, hopefully including partnering a celebrity in the christmas special.
We feel it’s the right time to invest in our dancing knowledge and become better at what we do and keep providing our audiences and supporters with continued excitement through our dancing. Aside from hopefully performing on Strictly we have lots of new projects ahead which we are very much looking forward to working on.
We have exciting times ahead with Vincent having his second child and me being newly engaged. We thank our supporters and fans for always being there and hope that together with us they look forward to exciting times ahead. We came to our decision earlier in the year and we would like to thank the BBC for their understanding and support.
We wish everyone best wishes for the forthcoming series. Vincent & Flavia x”
