By it’s nature, all Alton Towers Resort Hotel bedrooms are spacious family sized and have a double bed. Twin rooms are usually made up of a double bed along with a single divan or comfortable adult sized bunk. Larger triple rooms usually sleep 4 or 5 and are made up of a double bed along with two single divans or two comfortable adult sized bunks.
It is always a fantastic weekend. Great to see Strictly stars up close but David and Rosie are always a highlight for me. Looking forward to next year.

10 of us had a FAB U LOUS weekend of dance and fun. Paul and the Donaheys Team are super friendly, kind and accomodating. They are all welcoming and helpful, both on the dance floor and off. The ballrooms are spacious and well planned, there is ample seating for the evenings entertainment. We learned new dances from the Stars, heard their personal stories and were blown away by their magnificent performances during their showtime.
Even thinking about them leaves me breathless!
David and Rosie were around at Practice sessions to help, their show was amazing. I love them ❤️
We ve booked for next year, choosing an alternative venue as it's nearer to travel.

It was my third visit to Alton Towers for the Donaheys Dancing with the stars weekend, it’s a wonderful event to be a part of. Classes with the professionals are so much fun while learning a short routine , which you are then able to perform on the dance floor . The showcases are spectacular just like being in a front row seat at a West End theatre . It’s an opportunity to reunite with friends made at previous weekends but also to make some new ones . Every member of the Donaheys team makes you feel so welcome , highly recommend this it’s just brilliant 🤩 .

This was our first Donaheys at Alton Towers - we have attended 3 previously at Celtic Manor. We experienced the same warm welcome and support from the whole Donaheys team, the Alton Towers staff were so helpful and attentive, and the dancing was A-MAZ-ING 🪩💃🕺

What a fantastic weekend, our second trip to Alton Towers. We've booked for Celtic Manor next year, 8 of us from the Red Team. The way the weekend seems to run so effortlessly is testament to all the hard work and brilliant organisational skills from Paul, Amy, Shirley and their wonderful team. Thank you for the joy you bring to not only the experienced dancers but the complete beginners. A weekend experience that is suitable for everyone. The countdown in on my calendar for next year.

The workshops where at the level I expected and the evening showcases and ball where exceptional. Once again the Donaheys team have excelled with their enthusiasm and knowledge. Amazing very well organised weekends! With a great variety of classes. Very comfortable clean and tidy accomodation and good food.
The classes were taught really well and all the Pros are such lovely, down to earth people. Their showcases were out of this world.

Just finished a FABULOUS weekend at Alton Towers. Glitz,Glamour, Fun and Great Company with fellow Dance Lovers. Outstanding Dance Show cases underpinned by great lessons with Dance Stars and Champions. Donaheys have tuned this Dance weekend to PERFECTION. BRAVO.

Alton Towers venue was excellent for rooms , food and hospitality. Great staff
The dancing workshops were so good, they understood the need to.get the dancesteps across in a fun and memorable way. All the tutors were patient and clear with wonderful stories. Fun throughout.
The stars were just so natural and gave us wonderful anecdotes. Watching them dance was breathtaking. I now understand the full physical exertion they expend!!!!
Donaheys staff were so helpful, smiling, guiding and chatting too. Always on hand. It was without doubt an exceptional weekend so much fun and planned to perfection.
Massive thanks from both of us. We have already booked for next year 🤗👏

My Wife and I have just attended our first Donahey’s experience at Alton Towers and booked again for 2026. We've attended Latin and Ballroom dance classes for three years and now dance every month socially.
We chose the experienced level workshops which on reflection was the right decision. Having only had one dance teacher until now it was quite a change for us and initially a bit overwhelming. But experience over the weekend put that in perspective. Yes, the workshops were quite intensive but if you see them as a starting point which you can then continue with by purchasing the videos it relaxed how we felt about them. We’ve now a huge amount of material we can start to practice and include.
Surrounding the workshops were the social dancing and showcases. Combined with the near all inclusive hotel experience (lunch not provided) it was very good value.
I help event manage a large event with a small team and know what’s involved before during and after. The hours are long and requires a lot of physical and mental energy. The Donahey’s team really work hard and do their best to help, be friendly and enthuse. I know part of this is because they are passionate about dancing, many of them are teachers as well. This comes across with the professionals who know they are on home turf, and many have come back year after year
Coming for the first time was an intensive experience but we were helped by the team and supported by those who had come many times. By the Sunday close we were convinced we wanted to come back. On further reflection, single handedly it has taken dancing from a hobby to a passion.

This was our first Donaheys Dancing with The Stars Weekend Experience. We are so glad that we booked the weekend. It was amazing to have dance lessons from our favourite Strictly stars and other brilliant professionals. The showcase events were fantastic too. During the weekend, we caught up with friends who have been attending for many years, who had recommended the weekend breaks to us. We are really pleased that they did! We would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul and his team for the excellent organisation and hard work they put into arranging and delivering these amazing weekends.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Alton Towers, Donaheys Dancing with the Stars. We enjoyed all the workshops and the showcases were spectacular. Everything is very well run (and there's a lot to fit in if you attend everything!). The friendly and helpful Donaheys crew add to the experience and the hotel staff were also great. Spent the whole weekend smiling and laughing.

Just back from our second year and the dancing weekend just gets better. All the Donahays staff are always on hand and are so friendly. The workshops are brilliant and it is so much fun learning (and trying to remember!!) the routines. The Strictly stars are amazing to learn from and their showcases are so impressive. I would highly recommend booking whatever your level of dancing skill maybe, there is definitely something for everyone.

This was the first time my friend and I had attended Dancing with the Stars, we were in the beginners class. The lessons were very supportive and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed both of the evenings and the stars showcases were fantastic.
Alton Towers Hotel was a great location, having the hotel closed to others meant the hotel were able to fully accommodate our party, which they did very well.
