Strictly Come Dancing Professional Dancer 2018
is one of the highest-ranking Ballroom and Latin American professional dancers in the UK and the current British National Champion.
Amy is also the first ever Welsh professional dancer to join Strictly Come Dancing and made her debut in 2017.
This year’s series of Strictly sees Amy partnered with TV actor, Danny John-Jules. Will he be the Cat that got the cream or will his dancing induce a slow Death in Strictly Paradise?
Sadly Amy & Danny John-Jules left the competition on week 8, just before Blackpool. Together they had performed some stunning dances, including that Paso Doble to ‘The Greatest Showman’

In 2018 Amy is thrilled to be partnering British TV star Danny John-Jules. Together they’ve impressed both the judges and viewers at home with some fabulous performances, including The Greatest Showman on Movie Week.
Not a chance. She’s engaged to her professional dance partner, Ben Jones.
Amy took to the dance floor age eight and has achieved many titles ever since. She’s a four-time British National Finalist and reached the World Championship semi-final in 2015. She’s also the current British National Champion and one of the highest-ranking Ballroom and Latin American professional dancers in the UK. In fact, she’s competed with many of her fellow pro dancers in competitions over the years.
That’ll be her fiancé, Ben Jones.
She’s made no secret of how much she loves the Rumba.
The Welsh perfectionist made her Strictly debut in 2017.
On joining Strictly in 2017, Amy said, “I’ve grown up watching Strictly and I’m super excited to be the first ever Welsh professional on Strictly Come Dancing this year. Off the dance floor I might come across as cute, innocent and sweet, but as soon as I put my dance shoes on I’m passionate, I’m determined and competitive. I hope my celebrity partner likes to train. Many of my students will say I’m very strict and a bit of a perfectionist. The other professional dancers are so lovely and friendly, have really welcomed me in. I already knew a few from my competing side – it’s one big family. I’ve got my eye on the glitter ball trophy and nothing will get in my way.”
Just the one so far and that would be Brian Conley. They made it to week 5 and took 12th place in the competition.
Erm, not unless 12th is the new 1st.
No, she was in the clear last year, but anything could happen this series. So, watch this space.
