Our first experience of a Donahey's weekend. We have been dancing for almost 28 years, and this was the best event we have ever been too. So good, we have already booked for next year!
Incredibly well organised, in a fabulous hotel, and the Donahey's team work so hard to ensure that everyone has a great time.
Being taught by the professional dancers, and coaches from Strictly, is simply amazing, and the shows given on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday are breathtaking.
Absolutely fab-uuu-lous weekend, we will be back.

This is our 7th year with Paul and the team and the weekends just get better every time! Celtic Manor is the most wonderful venue to stage such a great experience.
The team are always well organised and welcoming. We remain in the blue band group as we do not get to dance in between our Donaheys experiences - we always learn something new and gain in confidence with every workshop/group line dance.
We have already booked for next year & can’t wait! Well done team and thank you all so much - again!

The best accolade I can give is that we enjoyed it so much, the teaching was excellent, the professionals were superb, the organization fantastic and so we booked for next year before we left!!

Returning for our second year at Donaheys, this time at Celtic Manor, Newport Wales, it was even better than the first time.
Their organisation of the booking in process with wristbands, hotel room and class schedule was straightforward and we were soon ready for our first lesson. Anton DuBeke and Rosie Ward taught us the running right turn and when we had mastered that, they added a few pivots! All great fun and followed by their show dances and social dancing in a purpose constructed ballroom. The next day we had a further 5 workshops, followed by a gala night of show dances and general dancing in our best togs. Lots of photos, chat with the Strictly Pro dancers and opportunities to practice what we had learnt. The Sunday workshops and show dances were great too, so we ended the weekend tired but happy.
Well done Paul, Shirley and all the Donaheys team for making it run smoothly so we could just enjoy ourselves.

Had a great time at celtic manor with the doneheys team this month, I'm not a dancer but my wife is so got this for her birthday and it didn't disappoint so much so that I decided to get lessons and learn to dance and we've just booked up for Windsor next year.

Having been to DWTS weekends at Celtic Manor for three consecutive years, the only way to describe it is 'the experience of a lifetime, every time'. We learn from some of the world's best dancers, among 400 or so like-minded lovers of dance, in 5-star surroundings. These extraordinary pros then put on show dances that must be seen to be believed. Furthermore, the Donaheys DWTS team is as professional and caring a group of people as you could ever wish to meet - they are always on hand and in position when needed and are both joyful and helpful. An absolutely wonderful weekend at Celtic Manor with the Donaheys team and a selection of the Strictly stars to try and teach this old guy to dance! Brilliantly organised across beginners to advanced so my wife and I never felt self conscious or any of the fears that I had going in. Paul, Amy, Shirley, Tracey and all of the team make you feel so comfortable and welcome and getting up close and personal, as it were, with the stars of the show, brings it home to you how real and genuinely pleasant they all are, and genuinely delighted they are when you manage to string some steps together. We were lucky enough to be taught by Anton, Nadiya, Giovanni, Lauren, Kai and Katya across a range of dances and as Kai noted, " I love teaching beginners as when they get a few steps the look on their faces it's as if they've discovered fire"! How right he is. My wife and I couldn't stop smiling or laughing. Celtic Manor is a great venue, food great, room great. All in all just a tremendous weekend. So good we booked back in for next year, as did many fellow guests. If you fancy shedding some inhibitions and having some fun I'd encourage you to do so. It was fantastic.

The workshops were great as well as the dancing in the evenings, especially on Saturday with the live Band.

But, the show dances were something else!! We had such a great time and look forward to going again in the near future.

This was our first time and it was an incredible weekend. Every detail is organised so well and Paul and all of the Team members are approachable, brilliant and attentive providing support throughout the event. (Donaheys gave me a birthday card even though they only found out at the weekend which was so thoughful!). The interactive workshops with the Stars and showcases are outstanding and something we will never forget, all in such a wonderful location. There are so many highlights and a must for all dance lovers! We had no hesitation in rebooking for next year - it was a 10 from us and FAB-U-LOUS. ❤️

Thank you so much for an incredible dance weekend, it was like stepping back into a world I thought I'd (sadly) left behind. However this time my husband was with me for the ride which made it even better.

Today we are aching and tired after a packed weekend of dance (a muscular reminder of the fun we've had) but we are also relaxed, happy and ready for more dancing.

It is great value for money, dinner bed and breakfast, learning to dance with the stars of Strictly and other great teachers too. Not to mention the incredible evening shows which left me in awe and inspired to dance more. The Donaheys' team were always on hand to help or partner a solo dancer and the itenery was packed! If you haven't experienced this yet, book your place and feel the joy of dance.

Wow! An incredible amazing weekend with The Stars of Strictly Come Dancing. 7 dance instruction workshops with The Stars giving us an insight to techniques and not just the steps. Many, many Show dances over the 3 days from all The Stars together with show dances from World and European Champions.
Paul Donahey and his marvellous team worked so hard to create a memorable wonderful weekend at the Celtic Manor Resort Hotel. Thank to you all.

Had a great weekend at celtic manor with the donaheys team, I booked this for my wife as a birthday present and she had a wonderful time meeting the stars of strictly, the dance classes and showcases but the black tie ball was the highlight giovanni was on top form had us laughing lots mixed with some superb routines with lauren.

A-MAZE-ING !!!! For anyone who loves Ballroom & Latin or wants to give it a go for the first time then try a weekend break with Donaheys Dancing with the Stars. IT IS FABULOUS ! I can't recommend Donahey's Dancing With The Stars weekends highly enough. They are pure joy and my favourite weekend away with my girlfriends each year. An absolutely fabulous weekend of dancing at the De Vere Beaumont hotel. The Donaheys team were all friendly, helpful and professional and the whole weekend was well-organised, but most importantly, great fun! The professional dancers were fantastic too.

What a fabulous weekend and we were first timers. Paul and the team could not have been so helpful, making sure that all needs were met.
The workshops were planned so that you do get rest time in between.
Highlight was the professionals doing the show dances and photo calls.
The black tie night, it was lovely to dress up have your photo on the red carpet and be the stars. So good have booked again for next year, but a different venue.

Couldn’t recommend this weekend highly enough. Fantastic entertainment & well organised. Can’t wait for next year!!

The dancing workshops were so good, they understood the need to.get the dancesteps across in a fun and memorable way. All the tutors were patient and clear with wonderful stories. Fun throughout.

The stars were just so natural and gave us wonderful anecdotes. Watching them dance was breathtaking. I now understand the full physical exertion they expend!!!!

Donaheys staff were so helpful, smiling, guiding and chatting too. Always on hand. It was without doubt an exceptional weekend so much fun and planned to perfection.

First time at a Donaheys weekend and first ever time on a dance floor. The workshops were perfect for my beginner level and the evening showcases were completely mind blowing. Everybody was there for the same reasons which made for a great friendly time. Loved it so much we are going to get dance lessons and have already booked for 2026.

A very professional and well organised weekend of fun, friendship and of course learning to dance! Venue, accommodation and food was first class and the hotel staff and Donaheys team were all helpful and friendly. Our 3rd year with Donaheys Dancing with the stars, thank you for a fabulous weekend filled with fun and laughter- next year booked.

My Wife and I have just attended our first Donahey’s experience at Alton Towers and booked again for 2026. We've attended Latin and Ballroom dance classes for three years and now dance every month socially.

We chose the experienced level workshops which on reflection was the right decision. Having only had one dance teacher until now it was quite a change for us and initially a bit overwhelming. But experience over the weekend put that in perspective. Yes, the workshops were quite intensive but if you see them as a starting point which you can then continue with by purchasing the videos it relaxed how we felt about them. We’ve now a huge amount of material we can start to practice and include.

Surrounding the workshops were the social dancing and showcases. Combined with the near all inclusive hotel experience (lunch not provided) it was very good value.

I help event manage a large event with a small team and know what’s involved before during and after. The hours are long and requires a lot of physical and mental energy. The Donahey’s team really work hard and do their best to help, be friendly and enthuse. I know part of this is because they are passionate about dancing, many of them are teachers as well. This comes across with the professionals who know they are on home turf, and many have come back year after year

Coming for the first time was an intensive experience but we were helped by the team and supported by those who had come many times. By the Sunday close we were convinced we wanted to come back. On further reflection, single handedly it has taken dancing from a hobby to a passion.

Life changing stuff.

This was our first Donaheys Dancing with The Stars Weekend Experience. We are so glad that we booked the weekend. It was amazing to have dance lessons from our favourite Strictly stars and other brilliant professionals. The showcase events were fantastic too. During the weekend, we caught up with friends who have been attending for many years, who had recommended the weekend breaks to us. We are really pleased that they did! We would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul and his team for the excellent organisation and hard work they put into arranging and delivering these amazing weekends.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Alton Towers, Donaheys Dancing with the Stars. We enjoyed all the workshops and the showcases were spectacular. Everything is very well run (and there's a lot to fit in if you attend everything!). The friendly and helpful Donaheys crew add to the experience and the hotel staff were also great. Spent the whole weekend smiling and laughing.

Just back from our second year and the dancing weekend just gets better. All the Donahays staff are always on hand and are so friendly. The workshops are brilliant and it is so much fun learning (and trying to remember!!) the routines. The Strictly stars are amazing to learn from and their showcases are so impressive. I would highly recommend booking whatever your level of dancing skill maybe, there is definitely something for everyone.

Donaheys July 2024 event at Celtic Manor exceeded our expectations on almost every level. Meeting the strictly stars was a huge thrill, of course, but there were workshops with other international class professionals as well. The standout workshop for us was Tony Bennet's Foxtrot session on the Sunday. Donaheys organise their weekends down to the finest detail, with nothing we could think of omitted. We recommend them highly and have already booked our next Dancing With The Stars Weekend at Celtic Manor next April. We can't wait!

The most amazing experience, if you like dance or not. Donaheys Team are brilliant very friendly and helpful, well organised too. The Celtic Manor is a beautiful hotel. Staff are incredible and even though there were hundreds of people there this weekend it was so quiet and peaceful. Facilities great too. Nothing to complain about. X

Second Donahey's DWTS weekend for us, first time at Celtic Manor - it was absolutely fantastic. We are beginners but never felt out of our depth with the workshops from the wonderful Strictly Pros, the World Champions, the Stars of the Future and of course Mr Tony Bennett! The Pro showcases were amazing, and it was a unique opportunity to see the Strictly stars perform so close up. Great atmosphere, super friendly, and lovely to be among a couple of hundred people just enjoying dance. If you are at all a Strictly fan, this is for you! We have already booked our next two weekends. Thanks Paul, Amy, Shirley and all the Donahey's team!

This was a present for my bestie and i to celebrate our 65th birthdays. What can i say? If you are a fan of strictly do not hesitate just book up. I promise you from start to finish you will have the most amazing time. This event is so professionally organised right down to the last detail but then they have been doing this for years and it shows. Polished with a capital P!!! It’s such great fun and close up and personal with the strictly celebs. There was only one criticism of the whole weekend and it was lack of chairs for the balcony. No idea why the hotel doesnt supply them 🙈. (I even rang down and asked)

My daughter and I attended this event at the Celtic Manor Resort, a fabulous hotel, as first timers with next to no dance experience. The weekend was just amazing! The workshops run by the professionals were so much fun and the showcases were spectacular. The whole weekend was pure joy thank you Donaheys.

Dance weekend was truly exceptional and the organisation was brilliant. Everything ran very smoothly and Celtic Manor was a great venue. The Strictly stars were brilliant as were all the amateur dancers. The Saturday night black tie ball was great. Very well done to all the Donaheys team.

We’ve just returned from our fourth Dancing with the Stars weekend at Celtic Manor and it was just brilliant - the best one so far! The organisation was amazing, especially given the number of people attending. Everything ran like clockwork from check in to departure. We have already booked again for next year. The first time we went we were amazed to discover that this is a totally family-run event. Paul Donahey and his team are fantastic and their love of ballroom shines through. So professional and the programme was just brilliant. Their evident hard work made for a wonderful weekend for us. The hotel is a lovely venue and we didn’t stop smiling all weekend. There was a perfect balance of lessons, shows and time to dance. So many highlights but especially Kristi Boyce’s lesson and Glenn and Caroly’s performance. All the shows were fantastic but it was great to see Alijaz and Janette together again - they are a great double act. We absolutely can’t wait to do it again!

Had a wonderful weekend, a real oasis of fun. Such a professional and approachable bunch, including the celebrity dance teachers…you really get the feeling they want you to enjoy dancing as much as they do.

This was our first Donaheys event and wow, what an amazing experience. Great workshops, great dance floor, great fun and well organised. These guys know how to put on an event. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

We’ve just returned from a weekend at Celtic Manor resort. The hotel was beautiful. The weekend was well organised, we thoroughly enjoyed all the workshops and it was a real treat to have some workshops delivered by the strictly pros. The full team were amazing and helpful and with everyone having dance floor seating the showcases felt really intimate and were incredible to watch. We have already booked to return next April

Celtic Manor weekend April 24 - what an amazing weekend - fantastic from start to finish. The Donaheys team put on a superb, professional, extremely well organised event. Meeting the Strictly stars, other professionals & world champions and having them teach us and talk to us between dances about their experiences & life was very special. You really do feel like they love that part of their job, it was such fun. The hotel was lovely with really good choices in the restaurant, nice rooms and 2 wonderful ballrooms. What an experience! As fairly beginner level dancers who've never done anything like this before, we never expected to be so eager to rebook for next year, but now we can't wait! Well done Donaheys, see you in 2025 !!

Absolutely fantastic weekend from start to finish! Everyone was so friendly. The strictly stars were fantastic with teaching us and going through the steps. I am so greatful! In the mean time I’m going to keeeeeeeep dancing!

A spectacularly well choreographed weekend full of Strictly Stars! Not only were they teaching us in workshops tailored to different levels of dance experience, but then they demonstrated almost inhuman skills with their professional routines in front of a enraptured audience.
Organisation from start to finish was faultless with everything running to time. Everyone, hotel staff, the Donaheys team, our fellow guests and the Strictly Stars themselves, were absolutely delightful. Fab-u-lous in fact.
If you're thinking of going - stop thinking - just book. We've already reserved our spot for 2025.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend break ‘dancing with the stars’ at Celtic Manor. A really lovely experience with taught dance classes from the likes of Anton&Erin, Nadia&Kai, Katya, Aljaz&Janette of Strictly fame, not forgetting Kristi&Glenn, Leandro&Maria for the Argentine Tango and Tony for the Jive.
It’s a fair cost but really worthwhile if you like watching or want a chance to learn from the best and Paul, Amy, Shirley and the Donaheys team make sure that everything ticks along even though it’s rather busy.

This was our second time to have the pleasure of this amazing and fun filled dance weekend.
And did we dance, Yes we most certainly did.
The Hotel (De Vere Windsor) is a perfect location with great facilities for those that love to dance.
The Donahey's team are Brilliant in every way from the Organisationa and communication to just having fun.
A quick message to Anton who put a challenge to the Red band to ask a Green band (Adrian) for a social dance. Challenge accepted and delivered.
Giovanni and Lauran are jsut brilliant but I have to say me me the weekend was made extra special by Kai and Nadia.

Wow! My 11th Donaheys weekend, this time back at De Vere, Beaumont. Another AMAZING weekend in every respect. The Donahey’s, well rehearsed team work so hard throughout the weekend to support and guide participants and need no stone unturned. The workshops provide more steps to slip into existing routines and Beginners the chance to learn to dance in an easy and comfortable setting. Getting to dance on a large international standard imported floor is special. The teachers are friendly, fun, and accomplished and cover many Latin and Ballroom dances. Mesmerising shows allow you to marvel at the Strictly stars' expertise and stunning routines - up close and personal ( much more exciting - and often emotional - than through a TV viewing.) All three venues have been used before so are familiar with the weekend requirements. Food is usually full of choice and mealtimes are organised with set times to accommodate the workshop times. A Black Tie Ball on the Saturday evening, with a live band and singers makes the Saturday evening special. This year we had Lance Ellington from the Strictly band joining Anton and Erin. Q & A moments in between costume changes are informative, revealing and hilarious at times. The Stars are proficient at these now. Up and coming dancers are showcased and help out with recordings of the dances covered in the workshops. I have booked my 13th for next year and know that it won't be an unlucky weekend. :-) Slick, Sensational and Secure in memories that will never be forgotten. Thanks to the Donaheys team under the guidance of Paul, Amy and Shirley who started the weekends over 50 years ago. I cannot recommend these weekends highly enough. If you like dancing, you'll LOVE these weekends.

If your looking for a fabulous weekend break look no further than Donaheys Dancing with the Stars weekend. Myself and 3 friends have just been on our first weekend at Windsor and it was amazing from start to finish. The weekend was so professionally run and organised we couldn't have asked for more. Paul and his team were so professional and were always available to answer questions or give advice. There was so much packed into the weekend from classes to show cases to ad hoc routines and we loved every minute of it. The quality of the event was first class and we would definitely go again. It was great value for money. I couldn't recommend Donaheys and their weekends more. Looking forward to the next one. Sam

We are taking part on this wonderful event since 2012. Until now we did not miss a year (exepted Corona period). This means that it is a wonderful event. We especially want to thank Shirly, Amy and Paul for the wonderful organization.
And the dancers (teachers) are incredible. The routines they give each year and the information about technik and holding is so useful.
So, we are already registered for next year. This trip from Belgium to the U.K. is it more than worthed.

This was the first time my friend and I had attended Dancing with the Stars, we were in the beginners class. The lessons were very supportive and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed both of the evenings and the stars showcases were fantastic.
Alton Towers Hotel was a great location, having the hotel closed to others meant the hotel were able to fully accommodate our party, which they did very well.
We enjoyed the weekend so much we booked for 2025whilst there, in the improvers class,

This was a Christmas present for my lady whom oozes strictly, sparkles and dance..I was apprehensive that it would be all that she wanted.
There's no superlative to explain the excitement from giving the gift on Christmas day to arriving at this weekend at alton towers and the amazing weekend that ensued.
I was concerned that the attendees whom had been before would possibly look down at the non dancers but the whole experience was so RELAXED.
As for the pro dancers and other tuition is nothing was too much trouble and
all I can say is..
I take my hat off and thank you for a FANTASTIC weekend 💃🕺❤️

Fantastic weekend from start to finish. It was really well organized and we had a brilliant time. The Donaheys team were lovely. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Right from picking the phone up to talk to Tracey about booking, down to the final showdance. If you're thinking of booking one of these weekends - go for it! You won't regret it.

Excellently organised with a lot of workshops. I did worry that our feet wouldn't cope but the excellent sprung dance floor made sure that wasn't the case.

The evening dancing was fabulous with Paul also regularly leading everybody into an individual Charleston on the dance floor - great fun.

The evening showcase dances were amazing and also featured dances from highly accomplished competing (or previously competing) professionals who were outstanding.

Overall an amazing weekend.

Omigod the weekend was awesome!

We don't write reviews; in a world of faceless corporations chasing 4-5 star status via automated perma-feedback who has time, right? There's better things to do with 30 seconds, like scratching your nose. But this weekend at the Celtic Manor Hotel was so good that we're delighted to pop the Google Review cherry.

We signed up as complete beginners, inducting into the infamous raucous Red group (special shout out to table one, we were the best!) The workshops were amazing. You're in the room with actual dancers from Strictly. Aljaž taught us the cha cha! Aljaž! Cha cha! This was so exciting that when he got us to yell 'Sa!' at the end of each New Yorker I swear I spat on him. Jive with Giovanni and Lauren? Check. Quickstep with Nadia and Kai? Check. Rumba with (reigning Strictly champion) Jowita? Check. Encouragement to growl like a lion when Nikita offered up his microphone? Not needed ... GRRRR!

Every instructor intimately knew their craft and, more importantly, knew how to teach. I don't think anyone in our beginners group felt out of depth or unsupported, a philosophy that translated beautifully to the evening ballroom events. Us Reds were actively encouraged to participate in social dancing without fear of embarrassment. There were enough slow and slightly out of time couples on the floor to feel like you weren't the only learners in the room. And you've not lived until you're one of a whole room Charleston Strolling to Bear Necessities.

What else to say? Only that we've realised live showcase dancing, much like live music, is so much better when you're in the room. Every number was impeccable. Nadia and Kai's jive topped our personal opinion chart in a very close field.

This weekend surpassed expectation. The Donaheys team really care about the quality of the experience. To organise an event like this with such precision and still maintain a genuinely friendly customer service takes some doing. Everybody involved seemed happy to be there. We certainly were. We're signed up for 2024, and we're coming back as Blue. If it's as good as this again they may even get another review.

great experience on both occasions when we attended the events At Celtic manner in 2019 and also this year. We thoroughly enjoyed it and all the staff were very helpful. Paul really goes out of his way to do everything possible for us to enjoy our time. We have already booked for next year.

Last weekend at Celtic Manor was the first time of going to a Dancing with the star’s weekend. It was Amazing form start to finish. The organisation was fantastic, the programme of dance classes, social dances, q&a’s, red carpet calls etc were brilliant. It was so lovely to be able see the stars and learn from them so up close. Can’t recommend it enough. Celtic Manor was a lovely venue also. Food and service Excellent. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!!!! Thank you.

Fabulous weekend, and very well organised by the friendly Donaheys team. Accommodation was excellent and the classes by the strictly pro's and visiting competitors were very informative. It was lovely to see up close the pro's, and their dance demonstrations were wonderful. There was also plenty of opportunities to ask them questions. We loved the live big band on Saturday night and it was such a treat to dance to live music. A wonderful event and great value for money. This was our first time and we met some great people and are looking forward to seeing them again at next years Dancing with the Stars weekend.

Fantastic weekend at the Celtic Manor and the Donaheys Dancing With the Stars event. These events (we’ve been to 3 now) are fabulous - well organised, efficiently run, great hotels, great workshops and fabulous showcase dances from the professional dancers. We can thoroughly recommend them

This was our fifth Dancing with the Stars Weekend and it was just brilliant. The Donaheys team do such a magnificent job, the whole weekend runs like clockwork. The workshops were great and the videos available afterwards really help!
The showcases this year were absolutely fantastic - both the strictly stars and the ballroom champions were incredible and mesmerising to watch.
Celtic Manor is a fabulous venue and we have already booked for next year!!

Myself and my best friend have just returned from our 2nd year attending Donaheys Dancing With The Stars Weekend. Another fabulous weekend. We have danced, made new friends and laughed. We started with 4 left feet, and ended up being able to dance fairly reasonable steps. The workshops are superb and gauged to the appropriate level of the group. The Donaheys team are superb and I can't rate them highly enough, every single person attending is looked after.
Feet throb from all the dancing, hands sting from applauding and cheeks sting from so much smiling and laughing.
The evening showcases are breath taking, the professional dancers are so engaging and the venue is superb.
I highly recommend this weekend.

Fabulous weekend! Stayed extra night on the Thursday. All of Donaheys staff led by Paul were so friendly and helpful through out the weekend.
Up close and personal classes with the strictly stars, Kai & Nadya, Giovanni & Lauren, Alijaz & Katya, Nikita & Jowita, David & Rosey and Warren & Kristy Boyce. All dance classes designed for your personal dance ability. Show case dances in the evening were amazing especially Glen Boyce & Caroly. Unbelievable dancing from all the stars.
The hotel is a perfect venue with friendly and professional staff at the Celtic Manor Resort.
The weekend flowed perfectly due to the planning and organisation of the whole Donaheys team.
Already booked up for April & July 24.
We can’t recommend this event highly
enough for those who enjoy ballroom dancing or want to start. Beginners are catered for just as much as advanced standard so if you have never tried ballroom dancing before this is an excellent introduction.

As first-timers we can honestly say it far exceeded our expectations. Friendly, efficient and fun. I hoped to get tips during the workshops to add an extra layer to our dancing as well as giving us new routines - they did that and more. All workshop teachers gave us confidence and laughter - no one needs to feel intimidated about what they can or can't do. This atmosphere helped everyone get together in a supportive and friendly fashion - far more smiles than frowns! The showcase events were superb and very moving. It was lovely to hear the professionals say they particularly enjoy dancing to an audience of dancers. And we enjoyed being that audience. Thank you to the all Donaheys team. Carol and John.

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the Donahey's Dancing with the stars weekend. I warranted a challenge being a past athlete participating in many sports. I had never learnt ballroom or Latin dance until this year. You don't have to worry about never dancing before or even your capabilities in sports or exercise. The venue is totally structured for all levels.
The management, planning, creativity and logistics of the event was outstanding.
The professional teachers and inspirational stars radiated with enthusiasm and motivation as they took to the floor commanding effective, fun, constructive teaching with engaging class presence in all disciplines.
The evening entertainment given by the professional dancers was awe inspiring, exuding passion with phenomenal artistry.
The whole venue was supported by the Donahey's staff who deserve a noteworthy praise for their organisational skills and commitment to hard work, conveying fun, energy and engagement with the guests.

A brilliant weekend with the Strictly Stars and other winning dancers. Great organisation from start to finish from the lovely team. Special mention to Freda who saw we were struggling and helped us learn the dances. The lessons were great fun with the strictly stars and the other teachers.
The showcases were stunning and being so close was amazing. The dance by Warren and Kristi Boyce and his boy and his partner was mesmerising and so poignant.
I would highly recommend and we have already booked for next year ♥️♥️♥️

This was our first time to come and enjoy a weekend with truly like minded people. Firstly the organisation is amazing it gave the impression that this was so seamless.
The Strictly Stars and competition dancers were amazing not just in the workshops that they gave but also in each of their showcases. Purely awesome and so inspiring.
I must also mention the workshops by Tony Bennet just pure gold in his delivery and types.
We now have another dance on our list of dances to learn which is the Argentine Tango this dance we had only seen from afar but to actually learn a routine in just one hour was magical.
Thank you to the Donhey's team for pulling all of this together.

Our first Dancing with the Stars Weekend (Windsor 2023) was absolutely wonderful. We opted into intermediate/advanced and the lessons for us, were just at the right degree of challenge. All lessons were fun and those involved were enthusiastic. The evening dancing was lovely, and the dance shows/performances were amazing. Hotel was good too. We’ve already booked for next year! Thanks to the Donaheys team for their hard work, all year round to bring these weekends to fruition. 👏👏👏

This is our 4th year with our friend's Mel & Aiden & there was no doubt of booking for next year! The classes are so well organised, no one feels silly, no capable, the team all make you want get on that dance floor , whatever your level. Obviously the highlight is seeing the Strictly stars, who are just a dream to watch.

This was our first dancing weekend with Donaheys but it won't be our last! We stayed at the Beaumont Estate in Windsor and enjoyed every minute of our 2 night stay. It was an action packed weekend which included fun but informative workshops with passionate teachers including the stars themselves. There was plenty of opportunity to dance with no pressure and also watch the stars entertain us. It really exceeded our expectations and much of this is down to the hard work and desire to please from the whole Donaheys team. So much to recommend.

Absolutely fantastic weekend.. having never danced before and rather allergic! I booked this as a Christmas gift for my wife. I’m completely sold and have already booked for next year. The Donahey’s staff are magnificent and as for the Professional dancers… Amazing!!! We had the best time, completely immersed ourselves in the well organised programme. Thank you for the experience.

Just back from my first Dancing with the stars 🌟 weekend and l can't wait to return. Deirdre & I had an amazing time learning from the pros & the showcases at night were magical. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere from all the Donagheys crew. The staff from Shirley, Paul, Amy, Cheryl, Tracey etc.. (cannot name everyone) were exceptional in ensuring all our needs were met. Immersion therapy at its best - 48 hours of exercise (mental and physical) pushing the boundaries of what I thought I could dance, spell bound at close-up views of top of the class dancers relishing their craft and their audience and all in the company of my favourite (actually my only) dance (and life and work) partner. Alton Towers staff very professional on check in and in the restaurant. Check out was seamless, just dropping off the room keys.

Car park better marked out.
Food in the restaurant could have been better. Ran out of clean crockery a couple of times (quickly resolved). Desserts could be better (less chocolate based, more gluten free options)

7 dance classes over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in 2 ballrooms with the large ballroom having a truly excellent floor.

3 shows (2 evening and 1 on Sunday lunch). You’re up close and personal with some excellent dancers showcasing their shows in many cases (which you’ll pay good money to see in theatres).

Donaheys have also taken on feedback from previous years around the format of the evening dances as well.

So hats off to all involved.

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Alton Towers, from the Donaheys Dancing With The Stars and we loved it. We have never been to a weekend of dancing before and are complete beginners at Ballroom and Latin, but we decided to give it a try. We went as a couple but we were put on a table with other complete beginners and we all got on so well we did all the classes together. The classes themselves were fabulous and easy to followe, with Stars like Kai and Nadiya teaching as well as Janette and Aliaz and Lauren with Gio man. This really makes the weekend special to learn from these guys and of course Mr Tony Bennett who was awesome teaching the Rumba and also a fabulous couple teaching the Argentine Tango which ended up being my favourite. The black tie dance on the Saturday was wonderful and the 15 piece band was great. Whether a beginner or an expert, the weekend is a definate and we would highly recommend it.

We travelled from SW France for our first time experience with Donaheys Dancing With The Stars weekend. It was a 50th wedding anniversary gift from our children. We had the most wonderful time. The whole weekend was very well organised from arrival until our departure. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the accommodation comfortable. Masses of dance opportunities for all levels and abilities.The professional Strictly dance teachers were fabulous during the tuition and in their show dances. The 16 piece band with vocals were great. A super opportunity to learn new routines and make new friends. We would highly recommend and hope to see you all again in the future. This is our first weekend away with Donahey's. We stayed at the Alton Towers resort and had the best time. The team were helpful and accomodating. The lessons were great and the teachers were patient and understanding of us being new to dancing. It was relaxed and fun and in the evening it felt okay to get on the dancefloor and know that it doesn't matter what your ability is, everyone was included. The strictly stars and guests were fantastic and the live band brought it all to life. It was a magical and fantastic experience, from start to end. Can't recommend it enough, all ages, all abilities. See you next year 😊

One of the best things I have done with a very reluctant husband. Both of us real beginners who went to our lessons with two left feet. Can you imagine having lessons with your strictly favourites we did and although the left feet came into operation on several occasions lessons were fun. My reluctant husband had booked for 2023 think this must say it all. Well done Donaheys for bringing dance into our lives.

We had an amazing time. Fantastic event and super shows. Workshops were all fun and interesting. Especially with Anton - funny guy! But all the stars were clearly enjoying it and were very humble and charming. Hotel was nice, maybe the same menu two nights running was a little disappointing but that was the only minus. We met some lovely people during the evenings and have booked again for Celtic Manor next April, where we have planned to meet up with them again. All in all, we could not have asked for a better experience with Donaheys and, of course, all of the professional and amateur instructors and performers. Superb!

Wow what a wonderful weekend, Paul and team were always on hand if you needed them, they are friendly and a real depth of dance knowledge. Our workshop with Anton and Erin was fabulous as was their showtime showcase. Its such a joy to be able to have this opportunity. First timers at this event and we loved it!! The timetable was very well thought out, the lessons were brilliant and we loved the stars! The accommodation was superb, rooms beautifully decorated, comfortable and modern with an old fashioned stately home feel. The main hotel decor was lovely too, food was as excellent although the bar staff were young, inexperienced and inattentive which was a shame. Overall the weekend was well run by the Donaheys staff who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We’ve booked again for next year!

A wonderful experience! Great dance workshops with incredibly knowledgeable and capable teachers…who also know how to make it fun too! Superb dance showcases throughout. Great location with Windsor so close. We had a fabulous time there and will definitely be going again!

Great weekend. The Donaheys team are all very friendly and very helpful, every effort was towards making sure that every guest had an amazing time and it showed. In terms of the workshops, it was really easy to take part for a pure beginner and great fun. Despite the coaches being some of the best in the business, it was presented at a level we could understand and yet they didn't talk down to us. If you're thinking about booking one of these do it, you won't regret it. We've just booked another next year!

Always wanted to see the professional dancers of strictly and decided to book the weekend with a very reluctant husband. I cannot thank Donaheys enough for the most fabulous weekend. What a stunning weekend of dance! After two years away Donaheys Dancing with the Stars Weekends were back and how! As always the Donahey's weekend at Alton Towers was so professionally organised with Strictly dance stars doing master classes and amazing shows. We all had the opportunity to dance in the superb ballroom and to live music. Thoroughly recommended and we'll definitely be back next year.

Just back from what was the most incredible weekend. My face aches from smiling. The event Donahey’s lay on for their guests is second to none. I agree initially the amount sounds like a lot of money but boy is it worth it. The dance lessons are fun and informative. The strictly pro’s treat you like friends. The Friday night dancing was amazing and Saturday night was just outstanding. The showcases from the pro’s will blow your mind. Honestly the best weekend I have ever had (except my wedding weekend). Only criticism for us was the hotel standard(Alton Towers) wasn’t great and food not the best but it in no way took away the weekend enjoyment. I have booked for Celtic Manor next year and am already excited. Massive thank you to Paul, Amy, Shirley and Team for all the fun and looking after us ❤️ also met some amazing people

My mum and I attended the Alton towers weekend for the first time and immediately booked back up for next year! It was amazing and felt a real privilege to be able to have lessons from the strictly pros and the other wonderful dance teachers. The showcases were absolutely fabulous.
